Sheltie story

My mom just sent me a link to the animal shelter where her 2 new shelties came from. They collect updated stories on their alumni, and Skye and Rozzie are featured on the current page! Their story is about half-way down (with a few of my photos to accompany). Enjoy!

Lucinda, Adam, and Ethan

I had a blast with these three doing fun portraits of everyone. They're welcoming a new baby girl in March; congratulations!

What a cute family!

Ethan was very good at making them laugh

The boys! I love Ethan's face here.

Ethan seems quite intrigued at having a new little sister soon.

How could you not adore a kid who does this when you ask him to sit for you?

Love the light and expression!

Same scene, a different take

Beautiful baby belly!

Pink, pink, and more pink: did I mention they're having a girl?

The animals came out to play after we had almost finished the portraits. Bailey, their old sweet kitty, really wanted to be involved the whole time I was there.

The two little fluffballs were a riot, and very very cute.

Kim

I stopped in to visit my good friend Kim over the weekend, and seeing some really nice light trying to seep in through her blinds, I had to take advantage.

We started with some simple headshots... look how cute she is!

Seamus and Elaine

I was out to lunch a couple weeks ago for my grandma's birthday and captured my aunt and cousin playing around before our food was served.

But first, a solo image: Seamus loves his straws...

New Year's Eve

A tad late, I know...New Year's Eve!

I'm intrigued with this silhouette

One of the highlights of the party... the ice luge! My engineering friends decided this year to get a 50 pound block of ice and drill carefully planned holes to pour shots through. It was very impressive, and provided much entertainment throughout the night.

Naturally, glow-sticks have to be added to the ice luge

I love the colors of this scene

And one that wasn't my photo (thanks Neal!)... this is me and Angela on our final night as roommates. She put up with me for almost eight (!!) years and is now making her way to Germany for a new job. Look at how snazzed up we both are!

Sibling Portraits

I've been playing more with off-camera lighting, and I convinced my siblings to model for me to test techniques some more.

These were taken at the end our driveway, so we had to move out of the way when cars came by. Thanks to dad and Janna for assisting me with lights.
