Fellow photographer and friend Shay Feeney joined me for an afternoon of playing more with the tilt-shift lens I rented for the weekend. It's great to go shooting with another photographer - you both model for each other, trade lenses, and share ideas. We met up in the Wicker Park neighborhood and played around for a couple hours.
Look how cute she is :)
Many folks who have shot with me know that I love alleys! They have such character and variety.
The great find for the afternoon - loved the chairs!
I am pleased to introduce everyone to the newest members of my household: Jasper and Cleo! I adopted these two sweet 11 year old kitties from the Anti-Cruelty Society in downtown Chicago two weeks ago, and they've adapted quite well to my house. They had become such good friends at the shelter that the staff determined one would not be adopted without the other. Perfect for me, as I was looking for 2 cats to adopt at once. They're super friendly and are both lap cats (though Jasper is rather large to fit on my lap - he often falls off). Now if only I could cure Jasper of his obsession with eating toilet paper...
I had so much fun with Lynnette and David all day: they are absolute sweethearts and made me feel so welcome.
This was one of the cutest "oh my god I'm getting married TODAY!!!" realization moment that I've ever witnessed.
I really enjoyed this ceremony. Their minister was wonderful and warm, they had a unique version of 1st Corinthians for their reading, and the ceremony was very touching.
Lynnette did a little dance for everyone once they were pronounced husband and wife.
Not too many serious moments during portraits!
Playing around with a tilt-shift lens I rented for the weekend - so much fun!
More with the funky lens. This cake smelled so good as I was shooting it!
Awesome first dance! They had great moves and awesome character - loved it!
And the slideshow.... it's a bit slow to load, so please be patient!
