Storm of the summer
Okay, this is really old.... There was a massive storm that came through Chicago this past August and our neighborhood was hit pretty badly. Many neighbors were out right after the storm to survey the damage... and take photos.
This is a street light that was bent in half and was touching the ground when we approached it.

There's a sidewalk under there somewhere.

This belongs to the tree in the previous photo.

Jill and Barry's Reception
Jill and Barry are such a wonderful pair. They were married last year on Valentine's Day in a beautiful ceremony with just a tiny gathering of family and close friends. I was thrilled to be able to shoot their reception in their new home.
They have a lovely pond in their backyard

Jill's awesome kids Ben and Emily

I loved the whole setting of their house and property.

Ben and Emily (and their friends) were tearing up the dance floor the whole night!

And a slideshow:

Amanda and Justin's Wedding
I did another great wedding with my friend Ana Miyares last week! I spent the day downtown with Amanda and Justin and their awesome family and friends.

A different angle on Justin's flower

Last minute moments with Justin and his dad

The ceremony was in one of my favorite churches in Chicago: The Fourth Presbyterian Church

A cute detail from the balcony

A giant H was projected on the floor for their last name

One of the cutest moments: they had a great singer during dinner who was going around to all the tables. This is his stop with great-grandma.

What's a reception without handstands?!

Vanessa and Tony: engagement
I had a wonderful time with Vanessa and Tony on a warm Sunday morning. We met up downtown and played around the awesome buildings that make up the skyline.
These two were really easy to work with: they were so affectionate with each other – makes my job easy!

There were tons of opportunities for playing with sun flare

My favorite of the day: they wanted to use the Marina Towers in a photo, so we did just that!

We were all very amused by the sign.

I have to commend these two for going along with this shot: these little doorways smelled horrendous, but they put up with it long enough for me to get the shot!

Thanks for an awesome morning, you two!
