Neal called Monday inviting me on a walk to get some lunch with him and Jacob; I accepted so long as I could turn the walk into a photo shoot. Which I did :) Since I already have gobs and gobs of photos of Neal, I concentrated on capturing the many faces of Jacob.
I enjoyed his spiky hair against the city sky.
Outside our chosen restaurant
We took a small break to hang out at the local dog park. Such cute doggies!
It's time for another public service announcement: smoking is bad.
Neal finally enters the portrait session.
Love this wall!
After the wall Neal decided to climb a tree, which always makes for good photo ops.

Seamus, Violet, and Amelia
More time with the cousins! I headed out to my aunt and uncle's place for a Memorial Day picnic.
For a fun slideshow, click here.
Violet greeted us with her demonstration on how to catch butterflies.
Her uncle Tim showed us how to catch Violets.
I wasn't quite sure what was going on, but Violet somehow convinced Neal it was a good idea to bury his face in her blanket repeatedly.

Neal and Jeremy
Neal and I attended a wedding this weekend of one of his good friends. I didn't shoot anything of worth during the wedding itself, but I enjoyed these two photos of Neal and Jeremy.

Amy's backyard
Over the weekend I went to a party at my friend Amy's house. She has the best backyard!! It's a courtyard that all her surrounding neighbors have access to; it's a beautiful open space with lots of fun details.
My favorite part is an old stage that is still used today for various concerts through the summer.

Joanna
I spent Sunday morning with Joanna, a flutist, to create some new and exciting headshots for her. It was unusually cold, but she put up with it very well!

Nicole and Andrew
I spent part of the afternoon with Nicole and Andrew for their engagement shoot. My plan was to wander around Lincoln Park exploring the area, then head over to Lincoln Park Zoo for more exploring (and seeing cool animals). Unfortunately the sky opened up and we were very quickly drenched, so my plan had to be reconfigured. We headed toward the zoo and stepped into the Lincoln Park Conservatory to continue our shoot. Nicole and Andrew were great sports!
They very easily directed themselves; often just talking to each other
So cute!
the lovely and beautiful Nicole

Bridget and Scott
I had great time with Bridget and Scott this weekend; they were both very relaxed and easy-going with a really great group of people.
Bridget's flowers were fabulous! I loved the colors.
Her maid of honor, Amy, did a great job of keeping Bridget laughing while they were waiting for the ceremony to start.
We hid in the nursery before the ceremony, so there were plenty of toys to play with.
Someone jokingly suggested that Bridget climb on this dog rocker, but we didn't think she'd actually do it!
Moments before the ceremony: Amy is trying to keep Bridget from crying with stories.
I borrowed their usher for his sunglasses; he didn't seem amused at how close I was shooting to his face :)
I thought their forks looked very cute all lined up with the candle light reflected in them.
One of my favorite detail from the reception site: there were two metal horses greeting guests at the entrance.
A very tasty cake!
