Melissa and Dave had a beautiful wedding this month at the ever-cool Barn of Barrington. These two had been friends for years, having met through the high school swim team. Dave had actually asked her out 4 years prior to their first date, but Melissa was grounded at the time and wasn't able to go! Little did her parents know what they were stopping at the time!
There were lots of great emotional and tearful moments during the toasts.
They both love elephants - how cute is this cake topping?!

Andrea and Will
I helped out my friend Brian Lee for Andrea and Will's celebration. They had a very nice brunch wedding at the Drake Hotel in downtown Chicago.
A funny moment before Andrea had her hair all done
The Ketubah signing
Will making his grand entrance to the ceremony: he practically danced down the aisle, stopping to greet many of his guests. Everyone loved it.
There were lots of great moments between these two during the ceremony.
Husband and wife!
I was intrigued by the light behind these shrimp.
One of the many beautiful desserts!

Random Syracuse Photos
The remaining Syracuse photos that didn't fit into any of my previous posts :)
Janna during one of my photo shoots were she was assisting
Awesome icicles outside Janna's house
Chris has a knack for making amazing tiny origami cranes and has covered one of Janna's table with them. Each one is about 2cm wing to wing.

In addition to bassoon, Janna also studies Ceramics. The department was running their outdoor wood-burning kiln while we were there, so we got a quick tour.

Janna and Tiffany
So the event that brought me to Syracuse was Janna's junior recital on bassoon, which was beautiful! No shooting during the recital of course, but I shot a few of Janna and her recital partner, Tiffany (on oboe) after the performance. They were adorable!
The girls getting sassy!
My favorite of the two of them

Out and about in Syracuse
Exploring Janna's town! Mom and dad also went to school here, so they were enjoying seeing what had changed over the years (answer: tons).
We headed back to Funk 'n Waffles for some tasty brunch, and I loved the light on their colorful wall outside. Here's Holmes posing for me.

Becca!
It was pretty chilly that day

Mango and Maggie
Janna's cats are former foster animals of my mom's; I had met them originally at home soon after Mango and her siblings were born. These two are adorable, and very sweet.

Emily and Shannon
My final two lovely models at Syracuse, Emily and Shannon. We did their entire shoot in Janna's attic. I loved the light coming in and all the tapestries hanging which made for excellent backdrops.
This one of Emily I was especially proud of: it's shot with my Lensbaby, which is VERY hard to focus. Check out those eyes!
Thanks girls! You two were a blast.
