When I rented the snazzy tilt-shift lens for Lynnette and David's wedding last month, I took it around the neighborhood and to a cookout. Play time!
I love this effect on the trees
We had a few dogs roaming the grounds at the cookout
And of course the star of the show!

Jasper and Cleo
I am pleased to introduce everyone to the newest members of my household: Jasper and Cleo! I adopted these two sweet 11 year old kitties from the Anti-Cruelty Society in downtown Chicago two weeks ago, and they've adapted quite well to my house. They had become such good friends at the shelter that the staff determined one would not be adopted without the other. Perfect for me, as I was looking for 2 cats to adopt at once. They're super friendly and are both lap cats (though Jasper is rather large to fit on my lap - he often falls off). Now if only I could cure Jasper of his obsession with eating toilet paper...
Cleo, just hours into her new home
Jasper enjoying a peaceful moment

Lynnette and David's wedding
I had so much fun with Lynnette and David all day: they are absolute sweethearts and made me feel so welcome.
This was one of the cutest "oh my god I'm getting married TODAY!!!" realization moment that I've ever witnessed.
I really enjoyed this ceremony. Their minister was wonderful and warm, they had a unique version of 1st Corinthians for their reading, and the ceremony was very touching.
Lynnette did a little dance for everyone once they were pronounced husband and wife.
Not too many serious moments during portraits!
Playing around with a tilt-shift lens I rented for the weekend - so much fun!
More with the funky lens. This cake smelled so good as I was shooting it!
Awesome first dance! They had great moves and awesome character - loved it!
And the slideshow.... it's a bit slow to load, so please be patient!
