I had so much fun photographing Frances and Isaac last weekend! They're the niece and nephew of one of my couples from last year, Katy and Kory. Great to see the kids again!
Bunny and Yellow accompanied Frances on many portraits!
Isaac loves windows. Perfect for me!
practicing her rock-star show
Isaac also loves to climb stairs. His dad was just barely out of camera sight as a spotter (which was necessary a few times).
What a happy kid!
A quiet moment for Frances
And of course, one of the family dog, Harry. He sat so nicely for portraits.
And a fun short slideshow:
Thanks for a great time, everyone!

Sophia
Sophia LOVES the camera! Every time I would take a few images she'd run over to me saying "me see! me see!" It's funny to me how most kids are accustomed to instant gratification with photography now. Back in MY day, we had to wait! :) And walk uphill both ways to get the photos from the lab, of course.

Heather and Michael: family time
I spent the majority of my Kentucky time in Louisville visiting my college roommate Heather, her husband Michael, and their darling daughter Sophia. They're expecting baby #2 any day now! Sophia is excited about being a big sister.
A fun-filled trip to Target!
So cute.... Sophia was feeling a little sick while I was there, and Heather was comforting her

Euphrates and Jitter Bug
Last weekend I took some time and headed down to Kentucky to visit a few good friends. First stop was Lexington with Karen and Bryan and their fabulous kitties Euphrates and Jitter Bug.
Euphrates on the bed, ignoring me
I love this look he's giving me
Jitter Bug sat so nicely for pictures
She likes to destroy these fun feather toys
I love the shapes in this one

Photographers go bowling
A couple weeks ago I gathered with a bunch of local photographers from a wedding photography forum, the DWF. One of the other members, Jason, had won a free game of bowling for 15 of his friends, and he invited all of us to join him!
I loved the colors at the bowling alley.
This was a constant scene: one photographer bowling, at least three other photographers documenting the experience. We kept our flashes put away to be kind to the other bowlers (and to keep from getting kicked out).
Our reigning champion Cindy! She took home the high score trophy (yes, there really was a trophy).
