Last week I spent a beautiful (and windy) afternoon playing in my neighborhood with a couple friends: fellow photographer Jen Wiley, and Rebecca, model extraordinaire. Thanks for modeling for us, Rebecca!
I had such a blast with these two! They had tons energy and were so comfortable in front of the camera. Veronica and Shaun met at the University of Chicago years ago, so we met up on campus on a lovely warm spring day.
Shaun was always able to keep Veronica laughing!
I think Shaun's smile here is positively adorable.
I went to a movie night a little while back, where each time I walk into the house I'm greeted by 120 pounds of excited, slobbery, great dane awesomeness. Meet Gavin. He's still a puppy (his full size will be about 180 pounds), and thinks he's about 20 pounds with the way he wants to sit on your lap.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of hanging out with an old neighbor of mine from 25 years ago (wow, I feel old being able to say that). Dan and I were childhood friends and have only recently reconnected. He's a physical therapist in DC and was in town for a workshop, and asked if I would take some headshots for his practice. So off to alley (one of my favorite places to shoot) we headed, with his friend Brady acting as my assistant.
The nice and simple one I sent his for his website:
Following the Anti-Workshop, I stuck around Vegas for the annual WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) conference and tradeshow. I didn't shoot anything during any of the seminars, but there was some wandering of the strip.
After the Anti-Workshop a few of us set out for the Strip to shoot fellow attendee Eliesa and her willing husband Judd. They were a blast to work with; Eliesa really knows how to work the camera!
We stopped traffic on the Bally's moving walkway for a bit
If you look behind them on the walkway you can see a mother crouching down to hide behind her child's stroller trying to stay out of our shot. I thought it was hilarious.
