I got together with fellow photographers Shay Feeney and Deanna Mandarino last week for a fun-filled portrait exchange. What we didn't count on was it being so cold! What happened to the nice spring weather we had a taste of? But besides the cold, it was great hanging out with them and playing around to get some fun shots.
Deanna! We hung out in an alley for a bit against this interesting brick wall
Shay!
I had the lensbaby out for many of my shots
This one makes me laugh

Anna
Anna was a blast to photograph for her senior session! We played inside and outside her house for the afternoon.
This giant comfy chair was fabulous!
Sweet! I thought she looked like a young Helen Hunt here.
Tons of laughter from Anna!
Cute!
I couldn't decide which of the following two I liked better. We have the classic beauty one...
...and the classic beauty with added funky lens flare
We spent quite a while on this balcony; what a great vantage point!
Back to the awesome giant chair
Loved the light streaming through the window!
Lensbaby fun!
Thanks so much for an awesome afternoon, Anna!

John
I met up with John in Wicker Park at a fabulous loft where he was house/cat sitting for the weekend. I loved this place!
I loved the shapes of this fan I shot through
We called this his album cover shot
He was cracking me up with his raising one eyebrow talent
And of course, the kitty he was sitting. She was very sweet until she decided she was done being affectionate, at which point she bit me. That's what I get for playing with her while she was trying to nap.

Jill and Lou's engagement
I strolled the streets of downtown Chicago with Jill and Lou over the weekend; it was so beautiful out! They were so comfortable in front of the camera (or at least appeared so!); laughter was a constant state for them.
I love having my couples dip! I kept telling them it's great practice for their first dance.
"Can you guys go squeeze into that small space together?" "Sure! No problem!"

Marquecia
I had such a blast with singer/model Marquecia last week for her portrait session! We shot mostly in the courtyard behind her house, and I was instantly jealous of her location. There was so much variety, I could have shot for days there. Thanks for a fabulous afternoon, Marquecia!
I loved this tree!
I thought the bold shadows on this door were awesome!
Probably my favorite of the session
