This past weekend I worked with the fabulous Ana Miyares on Natalie and Jason's wedding.
I met the guys as they were decorating Jason's car.
An awesome pocket watch that Jason had given his groomsmen
This made me laugh: Natalie arrived at the church to dress, but didn't have a private dressing room. The solution? Hide in the side hallway of the church and have two willing guys hold up a beach touch for cover.
A quiet moment for Jason, shot while Ana was doing portraits of him below.
A happy accident! I love when guests' flashes go off during my shots.
The band was great; they kept everything going all night.
All the girls had placed their flowers on the head table so perfectly lined up.
Natalie and Jason met in France on an exchange trip, so their name place holders were very fitting.

Michelle and Lucas
What a beautiful wedding! I traveled to Minneapolis for Michelle and Lucas's wedding last weekend. It was quite hot and sticky, but they were troopers throughout the day.
Very cute shoes
Great light coming into the hotel room
Mom helping with the final touches
Walking to meet Lucas for their first look!
Shooting under the veil
I was having fun with the DJ's lights during their first dance.
My favorite of the day... I love the detail of her dress!

Katie and Matt
I was in Indianapolis this past weekend for Katie and Matt's wedding, and they were both such a joy. No stress (or if there was, they hid it well); the day was all about the love of each other and sharing it with their dear friends and family.
The inn the girls got ready in was beautiful; I loved all the lines it provided.
A staircase made for brides
Katie was such a happy bride!
A sweet moment between sisters.
All her girls were fabulous.
And beautiful!
Both Katie and Matt were all smiles during the ceremony (and the rest of the day, for that matter).
Pretty champagne glass
Great light for their first dance
Conga line! They were pretty successful in getting just about everyone in the room to join the dance.
Shoes are off for the dance party!

Gretchen and Randy's house
For the weekend of Ellen and Nathan's wedding I was lucky enough to stay with Gretchen and Randy, their adorable daughter Thalia, and their slightly-schizophrenic (but mostly sweet) cat.
Thalia is quite the party animal. She stayed out with everyone until 10:30 the night before the wedding, and helped close the place down on the night of the wedding.
Contemplating attacking me.... he only tried to bite me twice during the weekend, which I'm told wasn't too bad.

BBQ with Lisa and Eric
Neal and I headed out to see his cousins Lisa and Eric and their two kids last week for a lovely summer BBQ.
First, a portrait of Neal.
We were welcomed by a Power Ranger.
Ava has fabulous taste in shoes!
Oooo... check out that depth of field! Love it!
Cicadas! I finally had my first taste of the noisy 17-year cicadas when we hopped off the train. They really are loud! Luckily they weren't near their house, so we had peace during dinner.
And finally, a slideshow from the evening:
