Ranger Rick Magazine

Did anybody else read Ranger Rick Magazine as a kid? It's produced by the National Wildlife Federation, aimed for kids 12 and under or so. Back in December I was contacted by a photo editor from Ranger Rick. He had found an image I had taken of mom's sweet old dog Jake with a chain of dandelions on his head that my sister Janna had made last spring. Apparently if you type "dandelion chain" into Google Images the photo shows up in the first page! He happened to be looking for an image to illustrate a tiny article on dandelion chains, and figured this would be fitting. Just a month ago I found out that it was chosen for the April issue and I received a check soon after, so I knew it was for real!

That is SO cool! I read Ranger Rick as a kid too; I didn't even know it was still around. How much fun it must have been to take a trip down memory lane!

VERY cool! Congrats!

I can't help but notice my dining room table underneath the magazine... is it sad that I miss it?
